I have a small home-based business that I’m looking to take to the next level. Should I just plunge into business books and try to grow it myself? Or should I sink the $ 4000 into a one year relationship with a business consultant who is confident he can help me grow? I don’t want to contract with him and find out that everything he tells me is just common sense business advice straight out of the books.

Well I have a small business from home as well. I too have thought of hiring a consultant. Ive reach the area where Ive done over a 100% difference in that past years.
When I first started this business I knew where I was going but never knew it would get this large .
I think the key to my sucess now is to get more organized. More business oriented in the shop. So I can track business and track customers now and the future. At this point I dont think I need to pay someone to confirm this to me. I think working smarter is the key language Im looking for.
