Q&A: I need a life coach! Someone help me figure out the best thing to do, please?
Question by humminax3: I need a life coach! Someone help me figure out the best thing to do, please?
Here’s what you have to work with:
My husband is on disablity for a rare illness. My oldest daughter is Medically Fragile. Her condition requires that we keep our income within a certain range in order to qualify for insurance that will actually cover her. I am trying to start my own business as a bookkeeper/QuickBooks ProAdvisor. I have a regular 3/4 time job now and work clients around it. Once I have enough clients I would quit my job. In addition to my own business, I want to attend college and get an Accounting Degree. What I need to know is if you think that is the best thing for me to do
I could find another job full time making 13/hr and support my family, but never buy a house. I could go to school but I would struggle with family, clients and school not to mention homework.
A note about my daughter’s insurance. I have to either qualify for a state insurance program or find a company that has really AWESOME insurance becz most prvt ins won’t cover her
Any ideas???
Most insurance companies will take a pre-existing condition however they would charge us an arm and a leg for coverage and then exclude needed items such as durable medical supplies. That is just not do-able.
I cannot get private insurance for her at all. No insurance company would take her, and even if they did there would be a one year wait and then again with the arm and a leg thing.
Hope that helps!

I am just curious why most insurance companies won’t cover her…is it because it is a pre-existing condition or the condition itself is not insurable?

I have purchased the domain name and have started to make a web-site on Weebly but I’m not very good….and this is too darn slow. cash is tight so throwing money at it isn’t an option!

Contact the SBA. They can point you towards all types of resources. Despite what you might see on commercials on the web there are really no grant programs for small business. For a business loan you’re going to need to create a business entity and create a business plan. A bank is also going to want to see how much equity you have invested. It’s going to be pretty tough to find loans for this type of thing.
